7:30 p.m.

The Board of Directors of the San Benito County Water District convened in Special Session. Directors Robert Swanson, Ken Perry, Doug Keck, James DeLaCruz and John Tobias were present together with District Manager/Engineer John S. Gregg, District Counsel David Pipal and Administrative Services Officer Janet L. Miller.

a. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

President Swanson called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

b. Public Input: Members of the Public are Invited to Speak on any Matter not on the Agenda

President Swanson asked if there were any comments from the Public. Hearing none, he closed the public input portion of the meeting.

1. Review 2001 – 2002 Water Supply and Direct Staff

District Manager/Engineer Gregg briefly explained the history of the Bureau’s and San Luis Delta-Mendota Water Authority’s proposed allocation and the affecting factors.

Director Tobias asked what the capacity of the San Justo Reservoir was? District Manager/Engineer Gregg stated it would be full at the time of the Bureau’s reading.

Director Keck asked if increasing the allocation this year would effect next years allocation? District Manager/Engineer Gregg stated he didn’t believe it would.

Director Swanson stated having water in Hernandez Reservoir was an advantage.

The Board adjourned to a Regular Meeting to be held on February 28, 2001 at 7:30 p.m., 30 Mansfield Road, Hollister, California.
