7:30 p.m.

            The Board of Directors of the San Benito County Water District convened in Special Session. Directors Ken Perry, John Tobias, James DeLaCruz and Douglas Keck were present together with District Manager/Engineer John S. Gregg, Deputy District Engineer Jeff Cattaneo and Administrative Services Officer Janet L. Miller.

a.         Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

            President Perry called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

1.         Consider Resolution Authorizing an Amendment to the Contract between San Benito County Water District and California Public Employees’ Retirement System – Section 21354 (2% at 55 Full Formula)

Manager/Engineer Gregg stated this amendment was agreed upon by the District and SEIU during negotiations. He explained that if we adopt the amendment prior to July 1 the District’s contribution would be 3.464% and if we adopt the amendment on or after July 1 the contribution would increase to 4.485%.

Upon a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed Resolution No. 2003-20 was adopted.

The vote of the Board was as follows, unless otherwise stated:

NOES: DIRECTORS:              None

ABSENT:        DIRECTORS:              Swanson

            The Board adjourned to a Regular Meeting to be held on June 25, 2003 at 7:30 p.m., 30 Mansfield Road, Hollister, California.
