Engineering Technician $3,750 - $4,934
Perform a variety of routine drafting, surveying and technical and/or specialized field and office work; monitor, review, and inspect workmanship and materials used in a variety of public works projects; ensure conformance with plans, specifications and regulations; construction plan checking and survey work; and provide technical/specialized assistance as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
n High school graduate
n Valid California Driver License
n Specialized post secondary training in mathematics or civil engineering
n Previous Engineering office and/or field work
n Construction Inspection, Surveying and Computer Drafting experience preferred
Agricultural/Urban Irrigation Engineer $4,485 - $5,675
Perform a variety of agricultural engineering functions such as collect, interpret and present water use, irrigation methods, and crop acreage data; interact with outside agencies to provide annual crop and water measurement reports; perform farm irrigation and drainage system evaluations; management of educational programs for public; facilitate financing of capital improvements for farm irrigation systems (i.e. low interest loans, grants).
REQUIREMENTS:
n Valid California Driver License
n Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Agricultural or Environmental Engineering
n Agricultural Systems Management experience, specializing in Water & Irrigation Science
n Environmental Engineering
Deputy District Engineer $6,534 - $8,268
Perform a variety of professional civil engineering work in the operation, design, construction, maintenance and repair of structures and facilities for the District's water supply and water distribution activities, including technical support of the operation and maintenance activities of the District. Responsible for water resource and water supply evaluations and assessments, water treatment, water transmission, and water distribution systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
n Valid California Driver License
n Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
n Registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California
n Minimum of five years professional work experience in water resources, water supply, water transmission, water quality and water distribution
