RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 10

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF

THE SAN BENITO COUNTY WATER DISTRICT

PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF MAY

WATER AWARENESS MONTH

 

 

 

WHEREAS, the heath of California’s growing population and the welfare of our communities depends on a reliable, high quality water supply; and

 

WHEREAS, the fact that California will experience periodic droughts and water conservation is critical not only during drought periods, but at all times; and

 

WHEREAS, local governments, water agencies, agriculture, industry and concerned citizens are working together to conserve and protect our valuable water resources; and

 

WHEREAS, by encouraging county-wide understanding and appreciation of the value of water conservation, we foster wise decisions on water issues and water use;

 

THEREFORE, NOW the San Benito County Water District does hereby proclaim May 2002 as California Water Awareness Month and urge all citizens to join in supporting local water agencies and organizations in their effort to help San Benito County residents use water wisely.

 

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at a Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of the San Benito County Water District held on April 24, 2002 by the following vote:
