WHEREAS, District Resolution No. 97-13 adopts District Guidelines for the implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act; and

whereas, the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines prepared by the State Office of Planning and Research have been amended since the adoption of Resolution No. 97-13; and

WHEREAS, amendment of the District guidelines will more effectively implement the California Environmental Quality Act for the San Benito County Water District;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the San Benito County Water District that the District Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act are amended as follows:

1. Section 3.II.A should be amended to be adding No. 3 to the Class I exemptions to read as follows: "3. Permit renewals and leases renewals relating to the foregoing."

1. Class 30 should be added as "Q" under Section II and should read as follows: "Class 30 – Minor actions to prevent, minimize, stabilize, mitigate, or eliminate the release of hazardous wastes or substances. (See Guidelines Section 15330.)"

3. Class 31 should be added as "R" under Section II and should read as follows: "Class 31 – Restoration or rehabilitation of historical resources in accordance with standards established by the Secretary of Interior. (See Guidelines Section 15331.)"
